hematoma cures?

Had a vasectomy 2 weeks ago and have developed what my dr says is a hematoma. It is a small hard lump on my left side of my sack, dr said that it would go away in 1-2 weeks, I have not seen any change yet. I am on inflammatory drugs (motrin) and appying a heat pad to it at night. I am open to any suggestions to help cure this, it is sometimes painful when I move toward the left and therefore smashing it on accident and it is more annoying than anything.
