Is this the way you defrost chicken? how long do i do this for?

ok well i put 2 ckicken in a plastic ziploc bag and made sure no water could get in. then i put the bag in a bowl full of hot water then put a pan over it to keep the bag down. is this the right way to defrost a chicken quikly? also i was going to put new water in every 15 mins, how long will it take the chicken to defrost?
