The immediate cause of world war one was the murder of archduke Ferdinand of Austria at Sarajevo (Bosnia Herzegovina) on June 28,1914.as the inator was from Montenegro, the Austro-Hungarian forces attacked Montenegro without any formal declaration and eventually half of the world was drawn into the war.
