Someone plz! help me out with this situation with my friend!! I dont know what the hell to do!!!?

I told one of my friends that I liked her about a month ago, right b4 college ended. I had known her since sept (right when college started). We used to hang out and spend some time together. After she got to kno my feelings, she said she did not feel the same way and said it might be awkward being friends. I told her flat out that I respect her feelings, but I dont want to lose her as a friend. I told her she doesn't have to feel uncomfortable around me b/c I will nvr impose anything on her, and will still be a frnd that I always was. I also apologized if my feelings bothered her. She didnt keep in touch with me over winter break (about a month). But now college has started and she has slowly started talking to me. We also have a science cl together. The thing is whenever i ask to hang out with her she makes up an excuse like "Oh i have to study," when she has a so much time!! like 8 hours...i mean who studies for 8 hours straight?? I feel like crap cuz she keeps turning me down!!!
