What's the book about the dog who gets...?

separated from his family and becomes a sled dog. I remember it being called something like "gone with the wind" but I looked it up and it was a different book. I'm pretty sure, but I'm not sure, that the title is similar to the one I thought it was so any insight? I could be wrong about the title too so do you guys know of a book with this kind of plot? It's killing me....
