US and Poland agree to Missile shield deal. How will Russia respond?

We already know Russia is very opposes to the missile shield being in its sphere of influence. Russia has already said if the US puts it there they will react severely. Obviously the events of this past week in Georgia influenced these negotiations. This will only anger Russia further. Putin last week stated that Russia may put strategic bombers in Cuba again. It seems like the cold war may be returning again. Is it inevitable for the US and Russia to go to war one day? It seems like it is destiny. Maybe not now, but one day.
