Songwriting ideas anyone?

So, I'm doing a year-long school project, for which we chose our own topics [I chose songwriting/making a music video]. I'm currently brainstorming lyrics, but what would you recommend I write about? I'm not very experienced in the realms of love [nor heartbreak], and those topics are so clich� anyway. What would make YOU want to listen to a song?
