What ever happened to the Dixie Chicks?

In their hay days they were one of the most popular music group. I wasn't a big fan of some of the things they said and did but I know good music when I hear it and they were good. I remember when Natalie Maines came out and said that "We don't want this war, this violence, and, we're ashamed of the President of the United States from Texas", after that they disappeared. Well now were are all those haters? all the people who wanted this war? no one wants this war anymore and we didn't find "weapons of m destruction", so why don't the Dixie Chicks come back?
