Parents: Would you hire me?
I am a 13 year old and I am becoming a babysitter this summer. I've babysat my younger sister for years and I also babysat my friend's sister who is a 4 year old. I've taken the Red Cross Babysitting Course. I know Infant, Child and Adult CPR and all the basics about First Aid. I am very safety conscious and I can handle emergencies in a calm way. The child's safety is my first priority. I am responsible, dependable and trustworthy, I am a great role model for children and while on the job I am always professional and I can show leadership. I am volunteering in a Day Camp and I gain so much experience from this. I am also part of the Leadership Core and Volunteer Committee at my school and part of our job is handling and caring for kids. I am extremely fun! Your kids will be so much happy with my fun-filled activities but at the same time I also give discipline and enforce the rules. I can provide a resume and reference letter and we would have an interview. For those people that are all about safety (which I appreciate) and would say they would only hire people they know, just pretend that I am your neighbour or something! And for those that think I am too young, many people would agree that I am as mature and responsible as a 16 year old. So, speak up, would you hire me?
