Why does my 96 f-150 shift roughly?

I just bought an old 96 f-150 4x4 w/ an automatic (with a cooler) cheap. It has the 302 V8 and 202k. The engine purrs like a kitten. Well, anyway, when I accelerate firmly and smoothly it shifts normally with a definite shift into overdrive. If I take my time getting up to speed it shifts quite roughly at 30 and 40-45mph. And trying to maintain those speeds usually results in rough shifting in and out of gear. I had the flushed just recently with no noticeable change. Is this normal wear?

Families taking children hunting?

Hell yes !!!! Both of my children 12 and 13 go hunting with me!! This year my daughter went turkey hunting with me and we watched 3 big gobblers fight less than 15 yards from us. She said she didn't want to shoot cause she wanted to watch and learn. My son has been hunting with me since he was 6. I think there is something mentally wrong with my husband. I have been married for about a year and a half and our life has been going down hill, big time. I wonder about evolution sometimes. I know whales evolved from terrestrial/amphibious four-legged mammals some number of eons ago. Uglies is a novel that was written by Scott Westerfield. One of the many themes of the novel is that conformity, as opposed to being yourself, overshadows your inner beauty. At first, Tally wanted desperately to get the operation to make her 'pretty', so she can fit in. Tally later discovers that when people get the operation, they also get a brain lesion inserted which prevents people from truly thinking for themselves. The page is imperative to developing the theme because it shows that if a person gets the operation that makes them like everyone else, their mind gets taken over by the lesion. When a person gets the lesion inserted, they lose who the are, and become what the city wants people to be. Tally remembered how idiotic Pretties were, and vowed not to be like them. What she didnt know at the time was, that once you get the operation, being dumb is uncontrollable.This is part of the theme; because in life, when you follow what others are doing, you lose your ability to choose for yourself. Special Cirstances is a group of people who enforce the rules of Tally's city. The represent a dictatorship because they prevent people from being individuals. When Tally's friend Shay runs away to The Smoke, Special Cirstances make Tally go find her. The Smoke is a hidden place, in which those who don't believe in the operation, can run away to. Special Cirstances is threatend by people who don't want the operation, because it means they think for themselves.

hematoma cures?

Had a vasectomy 2 weeks ago and have developed what my dr says is a hematoma. It is a small hard lump on my left side of my sack, dr said that it would go away in 1-2 weeks, I have not seen any change yet. I am on inflammatory drugs (motrin) and appying a heat pad to it at night. Florida Spring Break Question, PLEASE HELP ASAP?

You guys have to go to Cancun Mexico! It is upbeat and I'm sure its going to be even more upbeat during Spring Break. You have to go to Coco Bongos...you and your girlfriends will have a blast! The legal drinking age is 18 but, it is not hard to drink there. They never check ID. You can go to an all-inclusive resort and eat and drink all you want and meet tonnes of new people who are there to have fun too. Resorts do an awesome job at keeping you entertained and there are also tonnes of excursions you guys can do outside the resort. Its also really affordable. You should check it out. Good luck!

How can i fix my 2005 Honda Rancher?

I don't know anything about your machine, but on most bikes the device that sends the gear signal to the dash is a rotary type switch with a number of contacts. The switch is located on the end of the shifting drum, the shaft you rotate when you shift gears. I'd be checking the switch to see if it's loose, damaged or binding and in the process, keeping the shifting drum from turning. It will be located behind the cover that's behind the gear shift lever. The shaft the shifter turns will have a piece that's almost in the shape of the letter "F", with the two short bars having springs and hooks that catch on the shifting drum. Check to make sure the springs aren't broken or the fingers bent or worn.

7 month old, diarrhea, wakes up screaming (long)?

My daughter will be 7 months on Sunday. For the past two weeks she hasn't been herself. It started out with her being very irritable during the day at daycare - but when I picked her up in the evening, she was fine with me. Then she started having diarrhea - up to 3-4 times a day. She was staying hydrated and still eating well, so I chalked it up to a stomach bug that was going around her cl. Then last monday, her eating habits began to change - she was still drinking her milk, but only 2-3 oz at a time and was refusing solids - even her favorites. At that point, i took her to the dr. who thought that she had probably contracted the stomach bug - he gave me a special regimen of pedialyte and special formula, plus Bacid tablets to help with the diarrhea and cramping. That night she had a fever (the first since this started). the fever continued off and on for two days, but was low grade (101.5) and responded to tylenol. She's been fever free since friday - Sat and Sun her stools started to get firmer. Saturday night, however, she woke up from a dead sleep screaming bloody murder. She was inconsolable for about 30 minutes, then finally fell back to sleep. Sunday afternoon, she had the same type of screaming fit and finally screamed herself to sleep; same thing Sunday night. I'd given her tylenol and mylicon - not sure if i was dealing with gas or teething or something else. Then yesterday (Monday) at daycare, they advised that she was cranky all day as usual and had another 2 diarrhea diapers, and woke up from her nap screaming. I have called the pediatrician again, but I'm wondering if anyone else has had any similar symptoms like this with their children. I'm trying to think of all the possibilities - virus, gastrointestinal problem, gas, teething, simple separation anxiety (she's very attached to me). I'm just at a loss and i hate to hear my little girl screaming in what sounds like pain.

Fear of not being able to provide for oneself?

I just have this fear that I won't be able to provide for myself, materially. That even if I have a job, I somehow won't be able to survive off of the salary. So I've been dependent on my parents quite a lot, but they're not people you want to be dependent on either way, because in return for the money they give, they basically control your whole life. But how do I get over this fear? And where does it come from? And could it be that I have Dependent Personality Disorder? I just feel like even if I have a job, I will starve to death and won't be able to feed myself. It's literally a phobia.

In stores like Game-stop are underaged minors able to easily get their hands on "Mature" games? Do you find game vendors are good at protecting kids from objectionable content and do they card on a regular basis? In my personal experience Game stores have been very good at this. But that may not be the case everywhere. Also why do some parents get upset when their son or daughter plays an offensive game yet they were the ones that bought it to begin with? Does game research help prevent these accidents? Should parents be more active in learning about a game before buying it for their children? If they know a game is "mature" and get it for their kids are they not the ones at fault instead of the vendor?

Why is my white hair so wavy?

I'd say it's kinda normal for white hairs to do that. My mom has mostly brownish blonde hair but a good bit of white mixed in and her hair does the same thing. The white hairs are all shorter than the others too. I've never thought much about it until I saw your question though. But you are not a mutant, I ure you.

Why don't smokers stand up to tobacco companies? Smoking would be a lot less harmful if it weren't for all the additives. I would venture out to say that a lot of smokers, indeed, enjoy smoking. they would probably continue to smoke out of their own will, with the absence of added addicting substances. Also, why do cigarette companies add lethal chems to their tobacco? What is the purpose? Would it be possible to form a smoker's strike? Cycle after pregnancy?

Yes, your cycles can change after pregnancy. Mine sure did...........I was totally irregular before having kids and after my last baby, I became regular like clockwork, every 31 days! It could happen that you suddenly become irregular or ovulate differently than before.

The dizziness is exactly what happened to me. I have been singing for years and know that it wasn't the breathing that got to me when I was in a lesson one Friday. All of the sudden, I felt lightheaded and if my voice coach hadn't gotten me a chair, I would've been on the floor. What tree should I plant in my front yard?

I'd like it to be unique and beautiful, graceful, maybe a bit delicate but not a weeping willow. Something with a branching shape, not too vertical. I'd like it to let dappled light through, and be no more than 25 feet when mature. It can be deciduous. I live in Southern California in an old 1920's mediteranean but not spanish-style house. The garden faces south/east with not much shade. What does it mean when you don't have trouble hearing, but you have trouble understanding what people say?

I've noticed over the years that I don't necessarily have a problem hearing, but understanding what people say when they talk. I often have to have subtitles when watching movies, have to have lyrics in front of me to understand what people are singing in songs, and I absolutely hate talking to people on the phone because I keep having to have people repeat everything they say because I can't understand them. I don't know if it's them or if I have a hearing problem, but it's starting to bother me, especially since I've started talking to a new guy who seems to prefer talking to me on the phone rather than on IM, which would be preferable since I can read what he's saying and understand it -- no repetition necessary. Mare and false labor?

My mare is close to having her foal I thought it was going to happen yesterday or lastnight...she stopped eating her grain but still munched on her hay. Her utters were full and she continued to lie down and get back up numerous times...it wasn't colic because she was still drinking plenty of water and ping BM's frequently! Lastnight I went to check on her around 11 and she was even sweating. Now this morning she is fine...and her milk has gone back up which I've never seen before. Can a mare have false labor? Has this ever happened to anyone before she has me worried!

How can I find out if a deceased relative left a will, and what happened to her property? (Pennsylvania, NY)?

Her holdings were quite substantial, with homes in PA and NY. Death was sudden, in July of 04. No one was notified. A "friend" handled the memorial service and cremation, and would tell us nothing!!!!! We are almost positive there was a will, as it was witnessed by a family member.(He died a few weeks after she did. When we went to notify her of his death, we discovered she wad gone too!!!!! ) Her immediate heir (son) was a minor with special needs, and he has DISAPPEARED, as has the "friend"!! The sweet child has since turned 18, but cannot function mentally or physically unisted. The private school he attended has closed. There is a large some of money involved, and we want to make sure he was not taken advantage of. WE ARE NOT AFTER HER MONEY FOR OURSELVES. What a doozy. . . My personal opinion? Sounds like Sonja isn't being much of a friend at all and if I can remember correctly, eighth grade can be all about life-ending decisions. The angst you are feeling right now won't last and likely won't matter in a few years . . . But since it matters right now the best thing that I can say is for you to sit Sonja down and tell it to her straight. Explain to her without any holds barred that you and Eric and already agreed to go together and that the way she is acting is running a little close to the lines of selfishness. If she still won't listen, then you should decide whether or not a friend like that is worth having -- and if one dance in the long run of things is really worth freaking out over.
